Wii Fit

When Doug asked me this year what I wanted for my birthday, I drew a complete blank. My kids laugh, because each year I just ask for them for some peace and for them to all get along. Other years, I have asked for completion of projects around the house etc. Well, this year I asked for the Wii fit. I must say that I am not an avid exerciser. I don't like to run. I get bored with most everything else. I just never found my niche. I've tried so many things, but it never stuck because it just didn't appeal to me. Back to my story, on my birthday there was not a Wii Fit to be found in Utah county. HOWEVER, yesterday I happened to walk into Best Buy in Provo and asked if they happen to have a Wii Fit. The guy said, "I think they have one in the warehouse." I said, "Are you kidding? If you do, I want it!" Pretty soon, he walked out carrying this Wii Fit box. I was so thrilled that I think I glowed all the way to the cash register. Don't ask me why I was so thrilled to get this. I just was. The kids were thrilled that I found it. Blake came right home and set it up for me. Last night, we all took turns and played it. It was awesome. You can do aerobics, strength training, balance games, and yoga. I love the Hula Hoop contest. It was really a workout. The cool thing is that it tests your body composition: weight, BMI, etc. and sets up a training program for you. It also keeps track of days you exercise and how much time you exercise each day. So, maybe this will truly be something I stick to. It does make you feel like a kid and we all need that!

My parents have the Wii Fit and they love it. Avery plays on it everytime he is over there. It's so funny to watch him on there. He loves doing the 10 min run which is great exercise for him. I think it's a good thing!

Robyn! So jelous!! I want the Wii and would LOVE the Wii Fit! Yes, go Geocaching - it is a fun thing to do and I think your kids would enjoy it. It is a challenge, but Doug would take it head on!
