We left Barstow at 7 am this morning to avoid heavy traffic in the Anaheim area. We arrived in Anaheim about 11 am, with lots of daylight hours left on a Sunday afternoon. So what does a family of 6 do with lots of time and a little space? We decided to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. Doug & I both love President Reagan. He was our favorite President ever! Samantha's middle name is Reagan for that reason.

They also have the original Air Force One that Reagan used when he was in office available for tour. It was so cool! This was Blake's favorite tour. President Reagan & Nancy donated tons of their personal memorabilia to the library. It was so fascinating to read about and hear stories in their own words. This is a definite must see if you ever have the chance.

This is President Ronald Reagan's final resting place. On the tombstone it reads, "I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph and there is purpose and worth to each and every life." ---Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan died June 4, 2004 and was laid to rest on this spot June 11, 2004.

WOW I would love to be there. Chad absolutely adore's Ronald Reagan hence the name of our first born. What a great trip!!!
I have wanted to visit there for some time. I teach my students that Reagan and FDR were the greatest presidents of the 20th cent, not because of policys but because of the hope they gave americans. If you have not done so, buy Reagan's journal, it is a interesting read. glad you had fun, now I want to go there even more.
This is somewhere that I have wanted to visit as well.
If you really loved him it would have been your daughters first name!
