Doug is a huge fan of long hair! Our Ashy has always had long hair. As a baby, she always had hair and it just kept growing and growing. A few years ago it was almost to her bottom. Slowly as she has gotten older, her hair moved a little closer and closer to her shoulders. Last week, she asked me to take her to get her hair trimmed. It was time for a trim for Syd as well, so off to Great Clips we went. Ash is old enough now to tell the lady how she wants her hair, so I let her
go! When she got out of the chair and came to show me, I almost didn't recognize her. I haven't seen her with short hair in.....well she was a baby the last time! Though it turned out cute, I think it will be even easier for her on our RV trip this summer.
As I looked back on Sydney's preschool pictures, her hair was also to her bottom. However, Sydney doesn't like having her hair done very much. It also has a natural wave in it and a cow lick at her bangs. I got tired of fighting with her and her hair every morning, so about 9 months ago we decided to go shoulder length on her. What a difference it made! We grew out her bangs, since her cow lick pretty much dictated her bangs anyway. We bobbed her hair and layered it lightly on the ends so it lays nicely. I also found that the Sun Silk straightening shampoo & condition makes her hair looks so silky and is easy to brush. Now, we don't have hair fights anymore!

I think they both look very cute! I remember when my hair was supper long and I cut it. I was about 9 years old and I was tired of pulling it up in a swimmers cap. Short hair is much easier to take care of.
Welcome to the club girls!! Doug always yells at me when I chop my hair off, He definately is a fan of the long hair. I can never keep my hair the same, I get bored easily :)
