Okay, so things have been a bit busy around here. Hence the reason for no recent blog posts. Did I say a bit? I mean ALOT! Here is a catch up minus pictures, b/c I'll have to grab some an insert them later. So....GO!
Blake: He's in El Paso, Texas this week with his school group for Winterim. They were suppose to go to Mexico, but the government raised the alert level in one of the towns they had to travel through so the school changed gears at the last minute for the safety of the kids. He's a bit disappointed, but the new itinerary looks awesome! We'll update with his pictures later.
Robyn: I was made Primary president 2 weeks ago for 120 kids. It has been an amazing ride already. We have such a wonderful ward. I was a little anxious about the new calling, but I have some amazing counselors, teachers and Bishopric to work with so I'm just grateful!
Doug: He had the grand opening of his strip mall development on Saturday. He did the emcee thing and he and the girls & I got to cut the ribbon with the mayor. Hopefully, I can get a picture from the paper for this soon! He also got up at 3 am to take Blake & friends to the airport this morning to leave for El Paso. PLUS, he's been doing lots of carpool with all the snow we've been having! WE also took our 1st ballroom dance lesson with 5 other couples on Friday. So fun!
Sydney: Gave an awesome talk in Primary this week without any help from mom. She practiced her words and read them all just great!
Ashlyn: Is preparing for her ballroom competition in 2 weeks at BYU. She's also busy knitting baby hats for her YW project.
Samantha: Is still playing indoor soccer. She won her game on Saturday. She also is singing in the ward choir and making baby hats for her YW project.
With all this running around, you can see why the posts are sparing. However, I will try and repent b/c I printed our blog from 2008 as a gift for Doug and it was a great journal/scrapbook for the family! I want to keep this up as part of our family history.
