Okay, so getting back into the swing of kids, work, and household duties takes some getting use to. Luckily, I have a great guy who keeps it all together for me. We share carpool duties, which is awesome. He & I also are the "lunch people" at Sydney's school on Thursday. Sydney's school requires 60 hours of volunteer time per year, so we signed up for the lunch detail. Doug wasn't quite sure about our assignment, but it is a no brainer. The hardest part is to make sure it doesn't interfere with his weekly development meetings for his new project.
I'm loving the new job. I'm in the process of creating all my lesson plans & power points for class that begins September 22nd. Next week, I'm going w/ 5 of my co-workers to San Antonio to an Nursing Education Summit. This whole nursing education thing is so new that I want to soak up all the knowledge I can. The other faculty in the College of Nursing are great and I've already learned a ton. It is nice getting back into the hospital scene as well. We're on Labor & Delivery this semester, so it's fun to see all the babies and find out what's new in the last 6 years!

I'm glad you love your job. I'm not sure I do. I never see or hear from you anymore:(
Sounds like fun! Right up your alley! Good luck with you lesson plans.
Ohhhh....you make me kind of miss it a little. When I go back someday, I think I would love to do labor and delivery. I feel so out of the loop not working for 10 years or so. Good luck with everything. It brings back a lot of good memories of nursing school at BYU.
welcome to teaching, it is great fun. Too bad we are not closer to San Antonio we could stop by and say hi. Hopefully after Ike it is still there.
