Sports Updates

Well the first week of golf came and went. Blake qualified for the tournament team by shooting a 46 on the qualifying 9 rounds. However, when they went to the tournament at Soldier Hollow on Friday, his nerves got the best of him. On the practice field, it was just him and the ball. When it came to the tourney, all eyes were on him (at times). For his first experience, it was too nerve racking plus add in 18 holes so his score was over 100. Of course, he plays again on Monday and now he knows a little more what to expect. It's okay, Blake, just do your best. We know you know how to play.
Samantha is on a competition soccer team this year....the Shockers. They had a scrimmage on Thursday and won 2-1. They played a team a year older than them, almost a head taller than them, and who beat them last year and went the season undefeated. It was a BIG victory for our team. Today, we play the first official game of the soccer season. We'll post about it later today. Good luck Sam!

Yeah but what mom didn't say is that I scored a 94 on a new course and that was pretty good compared to what I did up in Soldier Hollow. On 18 holes.
