To end our Memorial Day RV trip, Doug & Blake wanted to show us some of the places they found to hike on previous scouting trips. We all went out for some short hikes in Snow Canyon. It is a very beautiful place with some deep lava tubes that you can crawl down into. Yes, the dog even went on the hike in the desert. If you notice the line in the mountain behind us, when it does rain the water rushes down that mountain into a wash.

We climbed down these really tiny holes and underneath the ground are these large, well sometimes large in places, caves. The older kids thought they were great, but Sydney wasn't quite so sure. Belle was even a trooper, as we drug her along. It was quite a sight and we're glad we did it. Doug didn't bother to tell me about all the bat droppings until we were well out of the hole. Probably not a bad idea!
We all made it home in one piece. The Grizzwold's maiden voyage (my nickname for us) was a learning experience for us. We may have to shorten the trip this summer.

I love that cannon, Melissa's dad lives right at the opening, so we take his horses in when we are there. Horse back is a great way to explore it.
