I can't believe the week has flown by again. Where did the days go? It seems the more children we acquired the faster the days, weeks and months have flown by. Now, not only do we have to worry about juggling our own stuff but now we have to juggle the kid's schedule. This is relatively easy most of the time, b/c Doug is so hands-on and willingly takes the kids wherever they need to be if I give him enough time to rearrange his schedule.
Today Blake is playing a basketball game in Price. So, the top babysitter is out for the evening. This leaves the girls to babysit. It seems odd that they are now old enough to take on such a responsibility, yet they do. Many moms are starting to call them to babysit for them as well. So, I have to make sure I've secured them before anyone else does.
We took the kids last weekend to see College Road Trip. It was very cute and even Sydney sat through it without a fuss. Tuesday, Doug & I went to an early movie and saw Vantage Point. That was an intense movie and well worth seeing. The rest of the week is a blur and now we're in the weekend again?
The girls wanted to have a boy/girl party, which Doug & I refused. So...they regrouped and wanted some little girls to come over. I said 2 hours is a good time limit on a screaming, loud 11 year old girl-fest...don't you think? I mean they can play the Wii, eat snacks and get in the hot tub and then go home before they start getting on each other's nerves and my nerves.
The one good thing is the kids aren't allowed to play w/ friends before their chores are done. What chores? They all must clean their rooms, change their sheets, do their laundry, clean the animal cages, and wash the dog. This motivates them to get it done, so they can play with friends. For the most party, the friends come here b/c for some reason my kids are homebodies. I guess we're grateful for that too.
Oh well, it sure makes the weekend go quickly.

Oh my....I don't know what I would do with girls!!! My boys still think boys are "yucky"....
Hope you can keep them thinking girls are yucky for a long time! Blake is in 9th grade and it is getting very interesting!
