New York in February

For the last 4 days, 4 couples plus us went on a little "theatre" trip to NYC. The men in our lives got really creative and gave "the girls" a trip for Christmas. It was very much appreciated and I think I speak for us all, that we had a really great time.

We saw Wicked & Spamalot. Doug liked Spamalot and I liked Wicked (go figure). We also got to see Statue of Liberty, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, CT someone at a Jazz club, David Letterman, Central Park, 5th Avenue (thank you Tiffanys & Doug), St. Patrick's Cathedral (did you know there is a gift shop inside the church?), and ate lots of cheesecake. My personal favorite was the chocolate cheesecake at Carnegie Deli w/ those mile high sandwiches.


Our kids, of course, didn't miss us a bit because they had their favorite couple staying with them... Annie & Jimmy. They are absolutely amazing. Annie can do no wrong in the eyes of my children (their own Mary Poppins...practically perfect). We hope they aren't tired of our kids, b/c our kids would be devastated if Annie & Jimmy didn't come over to play.





We got to visit a little with our niece Tamara and her hubby Doug. Who, might I add, is quite funny. I get his humor now that we've spent a bit more time with him. He's a bit like my Doug...sarcastic w/o a smile so you really have to know it's their humor and not personal. They are always great tour guides (thanks guys)! We love ya and we'll be praying for you!

My Doug, unfortunately, got sick our last day in NY. As we're running around getting the last of everyone's souvenirs (we didn't buy any if you can believe that), he felt worse and worse. On the plane ride, his head was just splitting and now he's got full blown cold/flu (we're not sure which).

Thanks to the McBees, Riss', Conlees & Andersons for a great trip. Same time next year....think warm & tropical.
