I have tried really hard to keep up with this, but life just keeps getting busier. Someone is seriously speeding up the clock. Since Easter, we have been busy with soccer (Sam & Sydney), ballroom (Ashlyn), and tennis (Blake). In the midst of all that, Doug has a started a garden and we're having a reception in the backyard in June. Good incentive to get the yard work done!
We've gotten to see a few good friends lately. We attended Cate Tyree's wedding and got to see Todd & Nancy and their beautiful kids from Florida. Rainy Chong is getting married in June in the Draper Temple, so we're excited to see the Chongs again! My sis came for a quick visit. Doug's sisters Connie & Kathy and brother Greg and wife Jeni were here for Toni's babyshower, which we got to have here. That was fun and I enjoyed going to Women's conference at BYU with Connie.
I'm in a new semester at school and teaching Leadership this term. Doug is busy being the Ward Emergency Preparedness Specialist, Employment Specialist and now Food Specialist for Girls' camp. I think he's very excited!
Below you will see that the girls' just had their 6th grade graduation, so that means more attitude and more drama as we head into Junior High. Woo HOO! Can hardly wait for that! Sydney finished indoor soccer last night by scoring her 3rd goal! Of course, we had to go to McDonalds for that. I can't say enough about what she's learned this year in school. Her curriculum is Amazing! If you are looking for a good book....go buy The Educated Child by William Bennett. This is a way to make sure your child is getting a SUPER education and she is! Blake just lettered in 3 sports and was awarded at the athletic banquet: Golf, Basketball & Tennis. He was even award MVP for Tennis. For a kid who had never picked up a racket before this season, it was quite an accomplisment especially as he still maintained a 3.6 GPA.
This should catch us up for the month, so enjoy the photo op for those.
