Happy Birthday Twins!

Ashlyn & Samantha have been waiting for this day for a while now. They were tired of being in Primary. They were tired of feeling like babies. Well, our babies are growing up. Doug & I sat back last night and were amazed to find that we now have 3 children in YM/YW and only one left in primary.
Samantha got a Ipod boom box and the Wii game Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader. Ashlyn got the camera that took these birthday photos. Tonight, they were allowed to invite one friend to a family dinner at the restaurant of their choosing......Olive Garden. Tomorrow, they get to attend their first YW activity. They are soooooo excited!

History lesson: Ashlyn was born at 5:32 pm weighing in a 6 pounds 1 1/2 ounces and 18 inches long. Samantha was born at 5:44 pm weighing in a 6 pounds 12 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. It was a very easy delivery. I was 37 weeks along and was so ready for them to come. Doug had to be summoned from Subway by the nurses to attend their delivery. He always gets hungry right about the time they are ready to deliver. Much to his credit, I told him to go. Labor always goes much faster when he leaves for some reason. Oh well, 12 years later and 12 years wiser (well maybe).

Man, does time fly. It makes me feel old seeing my kids get so big. I remember coming to see you when we were in Washington DC and you were barely pregnant with them. Hope they had a great one!!!!

Wow, 12 already?! I remember them as adorable 3 year olds trick or treating at our house! That means I am getting old too...AHH!

Funny thing about Doug getting hungry. Chris went to lunch with his parents and I had to have Rainy call him and politely tell him to come back! Not sure why labor makes them hungry...it's not like they have been doing anything!!!
