A Special Day

On September 4th, the 22nd anniversary of my sister Jerri-Ann & her husband Todd, Ty Davis Sturzenegger was sealed to them for all time and eternity. For my friends who aren't familiar with our religion, sealing is one of the principles we believe that allows our families to go on even after "death do us part." Ty is now 4 years old and was adopted as an infant due to some miraculous events when we lived in Virginia. This little kid is amazing and looks just like my sister's family (it was definitely a meant to be kind of thing).
It was a great day to see my mom, Todd's family, their friends, and many family friends attend this event. One of the special things that the Blakeman side was grateful for was the attendance of these 2 great ladies: Norma Metz & Susan Peterson (our sister missionaries). Without these 2 wonderful missionaries, we would never have joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These two ladies rode up on bikes to our home when I was 5 and shared a message of Jesus Christ and his gospel. As you can see, they remain an integral part of our family circle. Jerri-Ann had to mingle with the guests, but mom and I caught a moment with these ladies to get a picture.
Everyone loves Ty. Ashlyn & Blakely were entertaining him on the temple grounds. Sam & Blake were unable to attend due to sports committments, but they were there in spirit.
