Today is our baby's 6th birthday! She has been soo excited about her birthday for months. When we were in Anaheim 2 months ago, she spotted this cake and requested one like it for her birthday. Luckily, Jackson Hole had an Albertson's and so we were able to secure one just in time. It came with 6 princess figurines that she has been playing with non-stop. To say the Disney princesses are her favorite things would be a HUGE understatement. She is definitely our little princess with the attitude to prove it. Luckily, she is pretty satisfied with small things as well as large. For her presents, she got a new Leapster game, a princess camera, and a fuzzy coloring book. She also got a Happy Birthday call from our wonderful friends: Beth, Annie & Meggan from The Charleston. Thank you ladies! You made her day. It has been a pleasure to watch Sydney grow up. As Doug & I look back and realize that she almost didn't make it, it is humbling and a huge blessing to watch her grow. So, today we celebrate Syd's BIG day by traveling to Seattle. Her request is to eat at McDonald's today, so I guess the present is mine b/c I won't have to cook tonight!

I know what you mean when you say understatement! A friend asked Mikaela her name today and she replied,"Mikaela Malu Lani Princess"...enough said.
