Back from the House of Mouse

Well, I forgot the camera. Yes, that is what packing at 11 pm does to me. I forgot the camera, along w/ a jacket (did you know it gets cold in CA?), and a few other things. Lucky for me, I had 2 great friends with me who remembered everything that I forgot. One even brought us a goody bag for the trip (isn't that swell?). So, until they email me pictures (hint, hint), I have no fun pics to share.

What did 3 pink ladies (yes, we bought matching pink Mickey tees) do in Disneyland without children or husbands for 3 days, you ask? Well, we rode everything we wanted (sometimes twice if we weren't too dizzy), we ate when we wanted, we stopped and rested when we wanted, and we shopped whenever we saw a store. Now, doesn't that sound like a dream vacation? Laura's peach of a husband got us a free rental car and booked all of our flights for us straight through on Jet Blue (love the leg room). I was in charge of the hotel--thank you Best Western & AAA. Our hotel room was clean, nice and walking distance to everything. We didn't even have to refill our rental car b/c we didn't drive anywhere. It was still full when we returned it. Melanie was in charge of fun. She is awesome and never gets sick on any rides. So, we bounced back and forth between Disneyland & California Adventure. We even saw Eli Manning & his new bride in Disneyland.

We returned last night late to sleeping children and clean homes. Our husbands are so great! They kept it all together for us, while we had a Dream Vacation with the mouse. Our kids thought we were crazy to go without them and were quite shocked we picked the biggest playground on Earth for our Mom's trip, but they can't have all the fun now can they?

That sounds like a great time. Brian and I want to do the same thing. We went to Disney World with both our kids and couldn't do hardly any adult things, so we want to go back with just us!
