Hormones

I have some new found sympathy for my parents. We've got hormones flying all over our house these days. Mood swings range from ecstatic to angry. One minute these kids are happy go lucky and sweet as pie, then another second their snappy and rude. We've become stupid over night. We don't understand what they are going through.

We were so happy that Blake finally found his niche in the "high school" world. Now, girls are more important than rules and school. When we question him or get on him about what he needs to do, then we are automatically the enemy and the stonewall approaches. John Bytheway was right...teenagers are porcupines.

The girls are a little more tricky, well maybe not more, just different. Twins is an adventure in itself. We've got night and day all in the same minute. When one is hot, the other is cold. When one is mad, the other is happy. So, if we has parents, seem a little crazy....it's because the kids are driving us nuts.

These years are so important in our kids lives. We want them to gain strong testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We expose them to all sorts of wholesome activities. We spend time weekly as family time and try to teach gospel principles and values that will sustain them in these troublesome years. We try to take our sacred responsibility seriously, but sometimes we feel like we're talking to walls. Luckily, Heavenly Father is mindful of these children as well so we're never alone!

Oh, I can't wait. Savannah is already a very stubborn and moody child.

I'm scared for mine to get older. Cole turns 8 tomorrow, and I can hardly believe it. I missed Dougs birthday, tell him "Happy Birthday Uncle Dougie!"
